The short answer is YES provided you meet screening criteria during your intake visit / call.

NO. Unless both you and your significant other (or you and your) children are coming to the program together. All individuals in the family over the age of 5 years old who are planning to move in with you must participate in the intake process and also be eligible and participate in the services offered by the program.

IT IS NOT REQUIRED, but if you have it, please bring your:

  • photo identification
  • social security card
  • list of medications
  • your personal belongings and hygiene items
  • documentation for any mental health support you've received in the past

Let your intake specialist know when you speak to them and transportation will be provided to you using Lyft or Uber.

YES ONLY IF you are eligible for and a participant of a community based behavioral health program. If you need linkage to a program, tell us during your visit and we will make the connection.

We do not receive compensation from any person or agency for referring you to receive services outside the services we can directly provide. We do not pay any person or agency to refer you to our housing units.

Our goal is to link you with the help and support you need.

Anyone can come to us to receive help and income is not required at the time of intake but will eventually be needed to pay for your stay. If needed, we will link you with a community based behavioral health program to help you obtain entitlement benefit income or gainful employment.

If you are placed in a supportive housing shared room rental, the cost is calculated based on the market rent for the unit you would reside in. You would share the cost with your housemates which will not exceed 30% of your income and a minimum of $60.00 per month.

If you are placed in our assisted living services, your service cost will be calculated by the agency that covers your cost. We will help link you to an agency to cover costs if you are potentially eligible.

Empowering Our Community: The HolBrock Mission

What We Do

For almost 10 years, HolBrock Estates has served homeless, needy and vulnerable adults and youth in various capacities. Though we started in Virginia, our services are now focused on efforts in Baltimore City Maryland. To date, our programs and professional services have positively impacted more than 5,000 people - the majority of whom live below the critical poverty level and are unable to receive services from other human service providers due to the severity of their mental, physical, or emotional disabilities or circumstances. With continued support from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individuals, we are able to provide individualized and specialized services to those in need. Your contribution makes a difference in supporting programs that offer education, job training, life skills, stable housing, entitlement advocacy, healthy food and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities or those experiencing financial hardship.

Mission

Our mission is to assist economically disadvantaged, disabled and high-risk citizens of Baltimore City, Washington, D.C., and Prince Georges County with achieving their fullest potential through first meeting their basic needs of survival (housing and linkage to support services) from a holistic approach.

Vision

Our vision is that individuals, regardless of disability or socio-economic status, reach their fullest potential. The capacity for individuals to realize this potential is often suppressed by homelessness, physical and emotional challenges and the inability to sufficiently meet one's own basic needs. We are committed to providing the necessary support that allows individuals to successfully stabilize and improve their lives to the extent they are able to give back to the Community.

Eligibility for Services

Anyone can come to us to receive help and income is not required at the time of intake but will eventually be needed to pay for your stay. If needed, we will link you with a community based behavioral health program to help you obtain entitlement benefit income or gainful employment. Recipients only must demonstrate need for services, a desire to improve / stabilize their situation to be eligible. Interested persons must have a physical, mental, or emotional issue that limits their ability to function in the community independently. To be eligible for housing, individuals must participate in services offered by the program to help cope with physical, mental, or emotional issues displayed.

The Housing Services Enrollment Process

In effort to make the services we offer more accessible at the time of need, we can assist with housing on the first day you encounter HolBrock Estates. Homelessness can be a barrier to your mental health treatment and overall wellness. If you have no income, and you meet certain eligibility guidelines, we can help you find funding to support your supportive housing cost. Our supportive housing units are shared and have the option of meals being included or not. Based on a program participant's need, HolBrock Estates will make an immediate behavioral health services referral to a vetted, community based, behavioral health provider with the goal of stabilization. The assisted living programs offer by HolBrock Estates are licensed by the Office of Health Care Quality.
